Susan Murphy Milano Presenting at National Crime Victim's Rights Week Conference

"Reshaping the Future, Honoring the Past" Cape May/Cumberland County Conference

SURFSIDE BEACH, SC, April 10, 2011 (Press-News.org) On April 12, 2011 Susan Murphy Milano has been invited to conduct a presentation for The Cape May County and Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office of Victim Witness Advocacy annual conference. The Conference is being held at the George P. Luciano Family Center, Cumberland County Community College in Vineland, NJ.

"Each April since 1981, OVC has helped lead communities throughout the country in their annual observances of National Crime Victims' Rights Week (NCVRW) by promoting victims' rights and honoring crime victims and those who advocate on their behalf."

As an expert in the area of intimate partner violence and the prevention of homicide, Murphy Milano has created specific tools and procedures (Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit) which the abused need to safely leave a violent relationship.

Her books, "Defending Our Lives", "Moving Out, Moving On" and "Time's Up" are considered the "bibles" of how to make the move away from abuse and deal with the many confusing situations surrounding violence prevention, stalking, break-up or divorce.

Murphy Milano's strategies are taught world-wide and used by law enforcement, domestic abuse advocates, social workers, attorneys, health care workers, human resource departments and domestic violence agencies. The comprehensive strategies and escape plans developed and utilized by her have been successful and tested by time for over 20 years.

The Cape May/Cumberland County conference will also feature Brandi Burchfield speaking about "The Road to Recovery: The Susan Freck Story," along with other speakers from the community.

The 2011 NCVRW will be observed April 10-16, 2011. The theme for NCVRW 2011 is "Reshaping the Future, Honoring the Past."
