Z Animation's directing team, Wachtenheim and Marianetti teach Teenagers the value of money.

Z Animation Directors David Wachtenheim and Robert Marianetti team with Daniel Miller for the third time to help teach teenagers the value of money for FINRA.

2011-04-10
SAINT LOUIS, MO, April 10, 2011 (Press-News.org) All parents hope their children learn about money management. Z Animation Directors David Wachtenheim and Robert Marianetti team with Daniel Miller for the third time to help teach teenagers the value of money for FINRA.
Daniel Miller, Creative Director of U Direct, chose Wachtenheim and Marianetti to collaborate and bring his characters, Taylor and Tyler, to life. The TVC's revolve around Taylor and Tyler, twin brother and sister, who attend the same college. Taylor understands how proper money management helps achieve her goals. Tyler prefers immediate gratification, which unfortunately gets him in trouble. Over the last three years U Direct has developed print, web and broadcast that highlight the value of money management. The first spot, "Taylor and Tyler," focuses on the value of savings and compound interest; the second spot "College" highlighted the pitfalls of credit cards, and the latest spot "Gopher" on the advantage of savings vs. easy credit. W/M best known for their animated work on Saturday Night Live's TV Funhouse segments enjoyed the challenge of bringing Taylor and Tyler to life. "Working on this campaign was a pleasure. It always makes us want to go above and beyond when the client has complete trust and confidence in our abilities and sensibilities." Combining hand drawn animation, Flash and After Effects they have created a distinct look for a campaign that is hitting the mark with its targeted audience: teenagers Miller said, "It's been a wonderful experience to find someone to build a campaign with. I'm a live action director, and my collaboration with David and Robert was a successful give and take of ideas. We were able to clearly explain a great deal in: 30 seconds." Executive Producer, Peter Barg, produced the spots. "Working with Daniel was a delight. He clearly knew what he wanted, but encouraged our creative interpretation. David and Robert with their years of comedic experience created spots that are fun to watch." In the latest round of work, W/M assures everyone, "That absolutely no gophers were harmed in the making of this TVC. Dr. Yessis Says That The Notion That Great Athletes Are Born And Not Made Is B. S.

2011-04-10
It is a common belief, among most coaches in the United States today, that good athletes are born—they are naturals. Continuing this myth, these same coaches believe you cannot make someone into an athlete if they are not born with that ability. This implies that a person must already possess the technical skills and athleticism to play a sport. This is simply not true. Coaches see their role as motivators and strategists to blend their team into a functional unit. They often say that they teach the "basics" of the game, however, in most situations, "basics" means basic ...
