ALEXANDRIA, VA, April 10, 2011 (Press-News.org) The Center for Autism and Related Disorders, Inc. (CARD), will host an "Art Auction for Autism" on Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 3:00pm through 5:00 pm at the CARD Virginia office located at 5400 Shawnee Road, Suite 208 Alexandria, Virginia. The event is open to the general public.
"April is National Autism Awareness Month, therefore, we want to raise awareness about autism by organizing an Art Auction in hopes of bringing local communities together for a great cause," says Chelsea Burton, CARD Virginia Office Manager. "We are hoping to raise lots of money through this auction. The afternoon fun will be filled with entertainment and we welcome everyone."
Proceeds from the auction will go to ACT Today! (Autism Care and Treatment Today), a national nonprofit 501 (c)3 organization whose mission is to raise awareness and provide treatment services and support to families to help their children with autism achieve their full potential.
