The 'Calandro' Electric Nursing Bed Makes Patient Care in the Home Easier

Bedridden patients need special care and attention. For example, it is essential that they be turned or repositioned in order to prevent bed sores.

2011-04-15
April 15, 2011 (Press-News.org) Bedridden patients need special care and attention. For example, it is essential that they be turned or repositioned in order to prevent bed sores. However, this must be done without the caregiver having to bend down so as not to cause them health problems. Special nursing beds have been developed so caregivers can handle patients safely.

Just in time for the Medica trade fair, the manufacturer Haelvoet has unveiled its 'Calandro' electric nursing bed.

The 'Calandro' electric nursing bed makes patient care and positioning easier and assists patients in sitting up, as the height is electrically adjustable from 32.5 - 73cm. The backrest is fully electric and the footrest is manually height adjustable so patients can be positioned according to their individual needs. The electric nursing bed by Haelvoet features a steel frame and steel mattress platform, both of which are ultra strong and durable. The pale wood components of the electric nursing bed are elegant in appearance and ultra hygienic, since they feature a coating which is disinfectant-proof.
The nursing bed's four wheels are robust and fitted with brakes, and allow the caregiver to easily access the patient from all sides.

For the optimum medical care, the bed features 2 holders for infusion stands, which are located at the head of the electric nursing bed.

And that's not all: the 'Calandro' electric nursing bed can also be folded up and stored when it is not needed in order to save space. The bed is also available in a special Alzheimer's patient configuration that allows the electric nursing bed to be lowered by up to 20cm to prevent the risk of injury if the patient falls out of bed. High-quality accessories are also available for this bed including an anti-decubitus mattress, which is designed to reduce pressure on the patient and, in conjunction with appropriate repositioning, can prevent bed sores.

You will find the 'Calandro' electric nursing bed here at Praxisdienst - your medical supplies website, who, along with the manufacturer Haelvoet, will be at this year's Medica trade fair.

However, PAMOM is advocating a focus on silver, particularly as the US dollar comes under further scrutiny by financial experts. All precious metals are considered to be "real money", meaning that they retain their value even if - and, as some analysts would say, when - the dollar collapses. Despite the fact that silver is often overshadowed by its more glamorous ally, gold, ...
