WHY: On Saturday, April 23, 2011, the Thousand Hearts Benefit Concert (http://www.thousandhearts.org) will bring together a showcase of artists, celebrities and dignitaries from the worlds of music, dance, entertainment and government to raise funds and awareness for the survivors of the Japan earthquake-tsunami at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. 100% of the net proceeds will go directly to the hardest-hit prefectures of Fukushima, Iwate and Miyagi with no administrative fees or holds on funds. Thousand Hearts is produced by Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Aid Project, a nonprofit organization established by multi-cultural community leaders throughout the State of California.
