Adelaide's Bomb Shelter Exposes All

World class magic was on display and jaws were dropping as international card magician Jon Armstrong had traveled from Los Angeles California to appear at Adelaide's local magic club at the historic Bomb Shelter.

ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA, September 11, 2010

World class magic was on display and jaws were dropping as international card magician Jon Armstrong had traveled from Los Angeles California to appear at Adelaide's local magic club. On the first of September Jon gave his only Adelaide presentation at the historic Bomb Shelter on the corner of Ashley Road and South Road at Thebarton.

For well beyond the 2 hours he was scheduled, Jon amazed novices and experts alike by turning the audience into magicians. One volunteer picked out the card another volunteer had secretly chosen. Another audience member shuffled a stack of cards and then separated them face-down into black and red piles without ever turning them over.

As part of his shortened Australian tour Jon Armstrong had accepted an invitation to perform, and also reveal a few of the secrets of his unique magic, not just to the elite of Adelaide's magic community but to the public as well.

Father of two children at the event, and small business Word of Mouth marketer, Dr Martin Russell stated, "Jon Armstrong defies the cliches of card magic."

"With Jon, something truly impossible happened in front of your own eyes - and then he would expose how he did it."

Jon Armstrong is a frequent headliner at the exclusive, world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, California, and regularly performs for companies such as Apple Computers, Nestle, Panasonic, as well as at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas and Universal Studios in Florida. His Australian trip was cut short when Disney Imagineering asked him to return early to work for Disney's theme parks.

The presentation was held at the historic World War II bomb shelter at Thebarton which for the past 40 years has been home to the oldest continuously operating Magic Club in Australia.

Next year the combined Magic Clubs of Adelaide will be hosting the 2011 Adelaide Magic Convention on October 14-16 featuring Magicians Matthew Johnson (Canada), Christopher Taylor (Canada) & Wayne Rogers (New Zealand) with lectures, competitions, and an International Gala Show.
