NEW YORK, NY, April 20, 2011 (Press-News.org) At a time when most organizations are cutting back on giving, the Association of Image Consultants International New York Tri-State Chapter (AICI NYTS) is giving back. For the first time ever the AICI NYTS Chapter is donating an annual gift to be shared with two outstanding students who have completed the Image Consulting Professional Development Certificate Program. The chapter is committed to the education and training of its image consultants and as a result has established two yearly awards of $1,000 each for students finishing the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) Image Consulting Certificate Program.
"As part of our chapter strategy, we focus on maintaining and attracting industry talent so what better way to attract incredible talent than to tap into the students enrolled in the FIT Image Consulting Certificate Program" said Jacqueline Peros, AICI NYTS President. She further states "As a graduate of this FIT Image Program, I can tell you that the knowledge and tools provided to become an image consultant are invaluable in developing a successful business."
To qualify for the award, students must successfully complete the FIT Image Consulting Certificate Program's rigorous course work and complete the AICI NYTS / FIT Image Consulting Certificate Program Award application form.
Recipients must have strong academic references, excellent written and oral communication skills and have demonstrated their keen interest and participation in Image issues as demonstrated by an Internship in the industry. Applications must be submitted in the final semester of their coursework.
