Innovative Fitness Equipment: How RealRyder Indoor Cycling is Trimming Pounds and Fattening Profits for Business Owners Across the U.S.

SANTA MONICA, CA, April 21, 2011 (Press-News.org) While Americans continue to closely monitor their return on financial investments, many are approaching their investments in fitness and health the same way. Just ask Kim and Brian Bibeau, owners of Sweat Therapy Fitness, a boutique fitness club in Tallahassee, Florida.

"The days of people signing up for a gym membership and not showing up or getting less than excellent service are over. In these tight times, people want to see the value of what they're getting. They want to see physical results," says Brian Bibeau, a leading real estate attorney in Florida.

Brian's wife Kim realized her dream to open a fitness studio after discovering the RealRyder Indoor Cycle, an innovative piece of fitness equipment that offers some compelling benefits over competitive cardiovascular machines.

On the market for only three years, yet already sold in 42 countries and known as "the bike that moves," this stationary bike sits on an articulating frame and allows the rider to lean side to side while pedaling. The added movement simulates the fun of outdoor riding, while providing the same total body health benefits - including a stronger core, better balance and coordination, toned arms and legs and of course, improved cardiovascular health.

"I always wanted to open my fitness business and when I found the RealRyder bikes, I knew it was time to take the risk. It was a no brainer," says Kim Bibeau who quit her stable job of 20 years as a Florida State accountant during the peak of the U.S. economic downturn.

Initially, given the state of the economy, the couple set conservative expectations and did not anticipate a profit until year two. However, after only six months in business, Sweat Therapy was not only becoming profitable, revenues were growing exponentially each month. After opening in April 2010, the couple's cycling studio went from three employees in a 600 square foot facility to 26 employees in a 4,000 square foot facility. One year later, sales have swelled by as much as 15 times their initial monthly projections for year one.

"It's very clear that the RealRyder bike is a technology that's unmatched in indoor cycling. This innovation is the backbone of our success," says Brian Bibeau. "Add to that, our deep passion for helping people get fit, our great instructors and a happy atmosphere. People want it all."

The Bibeau's aren't the only ones reporting financial growth. Small business owners who've invested in the RealRyder technology are enjoying similar success in areas like New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Colorado, New York, North Carolina and even heavily depressed regions like Youngstown, Ohio and Detroit, Michigan, where owners have launched multiple locations.

"If you think there aren't any wise business investments in this market, think again," says Sean Harrington, President of RealRyder International LLC, makers of the RealRyder ABF8 Indoor Cycle. "I've been in the health club business for 35 years and what makes the RealRyder a good investment is basic to why people choose one health club over another. Every club talks about good service and well-maintained and un-crowded facilities, but what the prospective member sees is the equipment. If you want to keep your members happy don't wait until they demand something better. Volunteer something better! Stay on the cutting edge and you will keep your members happy and paying their dues."
