Naturally Improve Eyesight Fact or Fiction

Naturallyimproveeyesight.com is a new web site dedicated to raising awareness about the causes of vision impairment and blindness and offering better access to information regarding vision enhancement practices that can naturally improve eyesight.

2011-04-27
HOUSTON, TX, April 27, 2011 (Press-News.org) Poor vision is a major public health issue. Lack of basic knowledge about the causes, management and prevention of the most common eyesight disorders is one of the main reasons for the increasing number of visually impaired people.

According to Kristy White, founder of the new website Naturally Improve Eyesight, "Many companies cash in on people's unawareness by selling dubious and even dangerous natural vision enhancement treatments and there are not strong regulatory mechanisms to protect the consumers." She continued. "That is why our efforts are primarily focused on educating individuals about scientifically proven medical and natural ways to preserving, protecting and improving eyesight as well as raising public awareness about blindness and vision."

Contrary to scientific facts, most vision enhancement programs promising to naturally improve eyesight, are based on the concept that some of the most common eyesight disorders are due, not to the basic shape of the eye and its structures, but to functional problems of the action of the extraocular muscles and therefore they can be successfully cured through simple eye work-outs.

Several scientific studies have concluded that the majority of eye exercise practices (eye-hand coordination exercises, focusing and eye movement routines) are baseless. There is very little evidence in support of vision exercises that can cure myopia, hypeorpia, astigmatism and any other vision condition caused by physiological dysfunctions and anatomical irregularities in the eye, or due to hereditary or environmental factors. It seems that the effectiveness of eye exercises, as a method to improve eyesight naturally, is highly controversial.

"The problem is not only in the effectiveness of such therapies; it is in delaying or even refusing medical attention because of controversial programs promising to naturally improve eyesight" pointed out Kristy White. "Moreover, very little emphasis is put on the importance of nutrition and lifestyle as supporting mechanisms to naturally improve eyesight."

Indeed, a growing number of scientific evidence suggests a strong connection between nutrition, lifestyle and vision. Several clinical trials concluded that some of the most common eyesight disorders leading to severe vision impairment and blindness could be prevented with certain changes in diet.

The bottom line is that while eye exercises alone are still quite a controversial approach to naturally improve eyesight, there are many other safe and tested natural ways to preserve and enhance vision.

Whichever you may choose, it is important to carry it out under the supervision of qualified vision professional.

Naturallyimproveeyesight.com is a new web resource dedicated to raising awareness about the real causes of the most common eyesight disorders and the validity of alternative vision treatments. It provides objective information about different practices that can help to naturally improve eyesight and advice on blindness and vision impairment prevention.
