RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA, April 27, 2011 (Press-News.org) Crossfire Website Design recently created and released the website for EcoWatt Energy, also hailing from Rancho Cucamonga, CA in an effort to help EcoWatt increase awareness of their two money, energy, and environmental-saving devices: the XRP Lite and XRP Pro. EcoWatt came to CWD for their site's design and overall creation based on a couple of criteria: Crossfire was local and their bountiful portfolio of such a diverse spectrum of businesses who have utilized Crossfire's expertise.
Mason Yamashiro of EcoWatt Energy approached Crossfire in mid-February with a vision of only a couple of pages for the website, but as he and Project Manager, Michelle Portteus really delved into the site, he quickly realized that he needed more and decided to make this a full-fledged, informative site as well as highlight the two EcoWatt Energy devices as opposed to only having a 'web presence'. What they came up with was a 12 page power-packed website that includes all of the relevant information about EcoWatt Energy, a blog roll, and a management page for EcoWatt's distributors and installers.
Clean, Clear and Concise
The three C's are usually associate with diamonds, but with the EcoWatt Energy website, Mason wanted to ensure that his company's directives and products were showcased in a clean site (from graphics to headers, and colors), with clear wording so that the everyday visitor would understand (when you talk about energy, the tendency is to speak in industry terms and there is a loss in translation), and all in a concise package that wasn't overwhelming to view. In Mr. Yamashiro's words: "Working with Crossfire Website Design on my project was something that I went into thinking I knew what I wanted, but they really got to know me, my products, and my future plans and they helped me to really see the bigger picture of my business and how it can help."
Feature-Rich Site
"Mason definitely came into the project believing in his products and has a vast knowledge in the energy industry', says Portteus. She continued, "When we first sat down to go over the scope of the project, Mr. Yamashiro had so many thoughts in his head about the wants and needs of the site, but he really wasn't sure how to put it together and I think that is why he only wanted a web presence—just to get the EcoWatt Energy name out there." The site features a calculator so when you enter some past billing information, you can see what your potential savings are with one of the energy-saving devices EcoWatt Energy provides.
Some of the other features include an online management page for EcoWatt Energy distributors and installers—this page allows them to access the accounts they sold and offers tracking tools and a calendar of events so they are updated on the Company's occasions.
The site also offers a page for certified, bonded electricians and distributors to apply for employment with through a sleek application for ease of use.
Information Packed Site
Mr. Yamashiro has compiled an impressive palate of information within the site that speaks to the everyday consumer. He offered this: "Whenever you start to talk about your product, you know it so well that you have tendencies to industry-speak to the wrong audience. It is okay to talk about the intricacies of electricity to individuals who know and understand electricity inside and out, but when you throw industry jargon at the general population, you'll miss the mark and lose their attention quickly." Crossfire Website Design assisted Mason with the content of the site to soften the industry terminology into casual conversation. "I totally used Crossfire Website Design's Professional Writing division with this site. I had so much info that I needed on the site, from the way the devices work, how they can help homes and businesses save money, energy, and how we can help to save our environment. I needed help and CWD came through!"
