Fiber to the Home (FTTH) Conference, Las Vegas, NV, September 13th, 2010: Lafayette Utilities System (LUS) today announced the deployment of Mariner's xVu service assurance solution as a key component of delivering high quality TV service as part of their LUSFiber offering. LUSFiber, the only 100% fiber optic network in Lafayette, is a clear indication of the focus and commitment by LUS to bringing high quality Video, Internet and Phone services to the community of Lafayette. As part of the LUSFiber rollout Mariner's xVu service assurance product suite was selected to deliver quality monitoring for TV. "When we get a customer call on TV, the first place we go to is xVu," states Frank LeDoux, Engineering, Power and Communications Manager at LUS. "To be honest it has become a tool we cannot live without. Before our technicians leave a customer's home after a new TV installation they check xVu to ensure the service is working, end to end," LeDoux added.
