SAN DIEGO, CA, April 28, 2011 (Press-News.org) Limelight Public Relations, a full service lifestyle PR agency with offices throughout the West Coast, announced today seven clients signed on in Q1 of 2011. From the action sports, film and music industries; to hospitality and festivals, the clients are a reflection of Limelight's expertise in producing high-impact media campaigns in a variety of industries.
In the agency's sports and entertainment division, Maloof Skateboarding has tapped Limelight for the third consecutive year to manage all public relations initiatives for Maloof Skateboarding and the Maloof Money Cup. The scope of work includes managing PR for the national and international skateboarding contests, with a 2011 tour that spans from New York and Washington, D.C. to Southern California and South Africa.
The San Diego Film Festival has also renewed its relationship with Limelight for its 10th anniversary run, marking a partnership that started with the festival's inception. Limelight will continue to manage on-site media, film publicity and celebrity appearances for the Sept. 28-Oct. 2 event.
Limelight is pleased to welcome new digital music client ReDigi, the world's first online marketplace to legally buy and sell used music. Limelight will manage the national media campaign for the site's public launch this summer. ReDigi will be managed by Limelight's Orange County team.
In the agency's nonprofit division, Feeding America San Diego (FASD) also signed with Limelight after the agency successfully managed the organization's "Every Little Bottom" Huggies diaper drive in December. Limelight now manages the nonprofit's media relations, special events and social media. FASD is San Diego's largest distributer of donated food, with a goal to provide 16 million pounds of food to deserving families and schools each year.
Back for the second year with Limelight is the annual Beer and Sake Festival, a fundraiser for the Japan Society of San Diego and Tijuana's education programs. Limelight also extends its ongoing relationship with San Diego Professionals Against Cancer, managing public relations for its 17th Annual San Diego Festival of Beer returning to downtown San Diego Sept. 9. As the oldest beer festival in San Diego, the event features more than 50 craft breweries and 100 percent of the proceeds benefit San Diego cancer charities. The festivals will be managed by Limelight's San Diego team.
Adding to Limelight's extensive hospitality and food and beverage practice, the Los Angeles office will manage all media relations, social media and events for Excalibur Knights Place, a medieval restaurant set to open this summer near Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles. This is the first U.S. location for Excalibur, which is currently based in Europe.
