Brooks-DeBartolo High School Hosts Recruitment Open House

Brooks-DeBartolo Collegiate High School (BDCHS), a recently designated A rated school, is actively recruiting interested students for the 2011-2012 school year. On Saturday, May 7th, 2011 from 8:30-10:30 a.m. BDCHS is hosting an open house for parents and students to visit the school, speak with faculty, current students and parents. The school is located at 11602 N. 15th Street Tampa, FL 33612."Brooks-DeBartolo Collegiate High School is an exceptional place for focused high school students to learn and grow and we are excited to open our doors to showcase our school to potential new students and their parents." said Dr. Phildra Swagger, Executive Director and Principal of Brooks-DeBartolo Collegiate High School. Brooks-DeBartolo is a public charter school which operates under the approval from the School District of Hillsborough County. Although the school operates in private school like environment, this is an "A" rated public high school.
"We get extremely excited this time of year speaking with potential new students and their parents about a BDCHS education," said Derrick Brooks, Founding Member and President of the Governing Board of BDCHS. Brooks is a former Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker and recently named new team President of the Tampa Bay Storm.
Potential students, their parents, and community members are welcome to attend the open house. Attendees will view an informal presentation and receive a building tour. Faculty and staff will be on hand to answer questions and talk to students and parents about the BDCHS experience.
