Historical Romance Author Kris Tualla Creates 'Arizona Dreamin': A Romance Reader Event

Kris Tualla is the best selling author of the Hansen family trilogy of historical romance novels. Tualla believes it is time for a new breed of historical romance hero and puts forth the idea that Norway is the new Scotland

2011-04-30
SUPPLY, NC, April 30, 2011 (Press-News.org) The field of book publishing today is not only unstable - it is being totally reinvented. Bookstores, both large and small, are closing. Ebooks have taken center stage. The number of books published annually is increasing exponentially.

In this new model, successful authors must bring their product directly to the readers. Self-promotion and word of mouth are everything. Author Kris Tualla, award winning author of the Hansen series of historical romance novels, understands this. She has created 'Arizona Dreamin' - A Romance Reader Event' for Saturday, June 4th in Tempe, Arizona.

"It's an opportunity for readers to meet some of their favorite authors - and new favorite authors," Tualla said. "We want to connect the readers face-to-face with the writers."

Twenty-four multi-published authors representing different genres of romantic fiction, including paranormal, sci-fi, historical, suspense and more, will be meeting with readers in this unique setting.

Successful cover model Jimmy Thomas will be posing with attendees in exchange for a donation to the sponsored charity, Huntington's Disease Society of America. In addition, Sapphire Blue Publishing will be talking with hopeful writers, providing an opportunity for aspiring authors to speak directly with a publisher about their own careers.

"Our hope is to make this a regular event," Tualla explains. "Readers of romantic fiction have this opportunity in major cities all over the country. We are very excited about bringing the concept to the Phoenix area, and to help a very worthwhile charity while doing so."

Kris Tualla is available for media interview and speaking events. She can be reached using the information below or by email at ktualla@cox.net. More information is available at her website. All Tualla's books are available at her website, Amazon.com and at most book retailers. All of the books in the trilogy are available in paperback, Kindle, Nook, Kobo and other ebook versions.

Kris Tualla is an award winning writer who writes with a fast-paced and succinct style. Her plots are full of twists, passion, and very satisfying outcomes. Kris is an active member of both Romance Writers of America and the Historical Novel Society. She is an enthusiastic speaker and teacher, and is spearheading Arizona Dreamin' - Arizona's first ever romance-reader event set for June 4, 2011.
