WASHINGTON, DC, May 01, 2011 (Press-News.org) CommCore Consulting Group has been retained by the National Conference on Public Employee Retirement Systems (NCPERS) for a public awareness campaign in support of public employee pensions.
"Public employee pensions have become the politically-motivated whipping boy of state budget cutters intent on dumping all their financial woes on one sector," said CommCore Senior Vice President Nick Peters, who is managing the campaign. "Our aim is to assist NCPERS in establishing that the real discussion should be about retirement security for all Americans. There are strengths inherent in a solid public sector pension system that should part of the solution."
"Our point of view needs to be part of the national dialogue," said NCPERS Executive Director Hank Kim. "This is larger than political expediency; it's about the future of America's growing number of retirees from all walks of life, and their role in the nation's economy."
The campaign, which was launched in late February, includes message development, media training, national and local media and constituent relations, and website development.
