LONDON, ENGLAND, May 03, 2011 (Press-News.org) Recent studies show that the average office employee can waste around $2500 of their annual salary cost on non-work related web surfing, with surveys by AOL/Salary.com claiming that an average two hours a day is lost on the internet adding up to $750bn a year of lost productivity in the US alone.
CryptaVault's latest employee monitoring system identifies rogue employees wasting time on the web, and targets and automatically warns the worst culprits. It also produces forensic reports for use in disciplinary meetings or Employment Tribunal if the problem persists. It's not a blocking system, yet manages to reduce web accesses across the organisation by up to 50% over three months while at the same time reducing the amount of time IT and HR personnel spend on the task of managing, controlling, and blocking web access.
Ways of dealing with the problem of cyber-loafing haven't changed for more than ten years. As well as being not technically advanced, most products tend not to take account of the workers' rights to privacy and to a fair investigation. They also tend to be focussed around the concept of a web security gateway - that means they're designed for IT people to use and designed to block access rather than collect and process evidence to a forensic standard.
The people who should be using these tools are HR and line management, but the investigation usually falls to the IT department - who have far better things to do with their time than review lengthy log files. CryptaVault automatically identifies, investigates and generates pdf reports on the heaviest abusers - and inbuilt reporting measures the increased productivity and cost savings.
The new system also encourages employees to self-police their internet use, and only escalates a problem to management once the employee has ignored repeated automatic warnings - so problems tend to get nipped in the bud before managers have to discipline or fire employees.
CryptaVault Enterprise 2.0 comes with a 30% discount until the end of July, with 50% reductions for public sector customers. The company is also offering cut-price pilots in certain markets, contact sales@cryptavault.com or see our website http://www.cryptavault.com for more information.

End Employee CyberSlacking with CryptaVault Enterprise 2.0
Many of the current products used to prevent employees wasting time surfing are ineffective, contributing to the +$750 billion a year lost in the USA through internet timewasting. CryptaVault aims to make a big dent into that problem.
