The fashion-forward, timeless Bagich bag designs are the creation of Dutch-born fashion and handbag designer, Nora Westerbeek Van Eerten, who now resides in South Africa.

DURBAN, SOUTH AFRICA, May 03, 2011 (Press-News.org) To ensure that each locally handcrafted bag is unique, they are produced in limited quantities from individually cut and sewn soft springbok skin and genuine cow leather. All the bags' hardware is plated with a thin layer of real gold to ensure its sustainability. Background:

Bagich was founded in 2010 by owner and designer 28 year old Nora Westerbeek Van Eerten. Nora was born in the Netherlands and studied Fashion Design at the prestigious Art Academie in Arnhem, a school that has turned out many well-known and recognised fashion designers such as Viktor & Rolf, Wilbert Das (Diesel), Jan Schrijver (Gsus), Marjan Wigger (Turnover), to name but a few.
Nora won the first prize at the T.R.P. Jeans Design Awards in The Netherlands and did her internship at Maria Cornejo's Zero in New York. In Belgium, Nora worked in the design team of Lee Jeans, before moving to Durban, South Africa, where she started her own label Bagich.
