Go! Mobility Solutions Receives 2 Patents Pending for Portable Commode/Shower Chair Technology to Fill Mobility Needs for Handicapped People and Challenged Seniors

TUCSON, AZ, May 03, 2011 (Press-News.org) GO! Mobility Solutions President and CEO Rick Goldstein recently received a United States Patent Pending for two new devices designed to help individuals with disabilities as well as mobility-challenged seniors. These products expand GO! Mobility's existing product line to meet the needs of two distinct groups of disabilities, not met until now.

The Go-Anywhere Sport addresses the portable-mobility needs of the more independent wheelchair user and, in particular, handicapped sports enthusiasts. Lightweight, compact and easy-to-assemble, the Go-Anywhere Sport includes a two-piece padded tub bench having four adjustable legs, an optional padded seat extension enabling easy transfers across bathtub perimeters and an optional padded seatback for users requiring back support. Separately or inclusive of all three sections, the Go-Anywhere Sport weighs less than 10 pounds, packs easily and conveniently into a 9"x 9"x 12" travel bag which may be carried on a wheelchair user's lap and which qualifies as (non-chargeable) carry-on baggage for air travel.

The Go-Anywhere CS-A takes GO! Mobility's Commode 'n Shower Chair to a new dimension by adding a seatback which adjusts up and down, forward and back and which may be reclined to a nearly-horizontal position. In conjunction with the newly-designed adjustable footrest supports, which may now be used with any of the Go-Anywhere Chair models, the chair's occupant may be adjusted to a number of positions ranging from normal sitting position to lying down, virtually flat. This product fills the void for products for parents and caregivers of severely, developmentally-disabled individuals and, more importantly, offers a product that can actually grow from a pediatric chair to an adult chair by simply adjusting the seatback location, backrest height and footrest length. There is nothing like the Go-Anywhere CS-A anywhere.

Rick Goldstein, President and CEO of GO! Mobility Solutions, stated "Each of these new innovations is designed to provide for the needs of groups of handicapped people who, until now, have been for the most part, ignored, when it comes to portability/mobility aids. Our three-way directional seat-back brings to the market a portable, adjustable commode/shower chair for adults but, more importantly, for children and little people of nearly any size. Our new design creates a chair that can not only "go", but also "grow" with a child as he, or she, grows." I am extremely excited about, not only what these innovations bring to our bottom line but, more importantly, what it means to so many people, around the world, who have been waiting for products like these."

Both Go-Anywhere Sport and CS-A models were introduced at the Abilities Expo held at the Los Angeles Convention Center on April 15-17th, where they were each met with overwhelmingly- enthusiastic responses by parents, caregivers and medical professionals, alike.

About GO! Mobility Solutions:

The GMS product line serves one mission and one mission only: To enable physically-challenged individuals and their families to travel wherever they'd like to go whenever they want to go. GO! Mobility CEO Rick Goldstein, invented the Go-Anywhere Portable Commode, Shower 'n Tub Chair because he needed it in order that he, himself, might travel whenever and wherever he chose. The Go-Anywhere Chair is lightweight, compact, durable, portable and easy to assemble without any tools; And it works every bit as well at home as on-the-road. It is the Undisputed, Most-Easily-Commuted commode, shower and bath chair EVER!
