The O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire in London will welcome Villagers for a highly anticipated show next month.

LONDON, ENGLAND, May 05, 2011 (Press-News.org) Villagers are due to play a one-off London show at the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on Saturday May 21st.

The rescheduled concert will give fans of the Irish indie band a chance to hear songs from their acclaimed debut album Becoming a Jackal.

Released via influential UK record label Domino last May, the LP was nominated for the 2010 Mercury Prize and marked out Conor J O'Brien's group as rising stars of the music industry.

O'Brien was also recently nominated for a prestigious Ivor Novello Award in the best song musically and lyrically category for Becoming a Jackal, the title track of the album.

Villagers' show at the Shepherd's Bush Empire will take place two days before the release of their new single, The Pact (I'll Be Your Fever).

Tickets for the gig are available to buy online, priced at GBP15 plus booking fee.

Doors are due to open at 19:00 BST and support will be provided by special guest Michele Stodart, who fans may know as the bassist from The Magic Numbers.
