PARIS, FRANCE, May 11, 2011 (Press-News.org) I am the Wind is due to be performed at Paris's Theatre de la Ville next month.

Running from June 3rd to 12th, the fable written by Jon Fosse will be helmed by acclaimed film and theatre director Patrice Chereau, with words from Simon Stephens.

Visitors can expect to enjoy a profound and moving tale, as two men set out to sea on a fragile boat and face a battle to survive the elements.

Fosse, widely considered to be one of the world's greatest living playwrights, is a Norwegian author who has won a host of accolades in various countries, including France, Germany, Sweden and his homeland. He wrote I am the Wind in 2007.

The Paris show will be performed in English with French subtitles.

Evening performances of the piece start at 20:30 local time and matinees start at 15:00.

Tickets range from EUR15 to EUR29 (GBP13.20 to GBP25.50), with the box office opening from 11:00 to 20:00 daily, except for Monday, when it closes at 19:00.

The closest Metro station to the venue is Chatelet.
