ALLEN, TX, May 11, 2011 (Press-News.org) PSCI, an innovative, emerging provider of advanced quality analytics and decision support technologies for hospital systems and physician networks, announced today the appointment of Steve Dobbs to their Board of Advisors. Mr. Dobbs has more than 30 years of professional health care experience, and most recently was the Chief Executive Officer of Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa, OK, a 691-bed tertiary-care hospital. During his ten years as CEO at Hillcrest, the institution built and opened the Oklahoma Heart Institute and the Peggy V. Helmerich Women's Health Center. More notably, under Dobbs' leadership, Hillcrest Medical Center was selected by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service to participate in CMS' demonstration project for Acute Care Episode bundled payment for cardiology and orthopedic services. This achievement was primarily due to the hospital's outstanding levels of quality of care and patient benefit.
As an advisor, Mr. Dobbs will play a critical mentor role at PSCI, to help the executive team understand the challenges hospital systems and physician networks face in their transformation to succeed in the new ACO and pay-for-performance world.
"Steve Dobbs brings a great deal of industry insight, strategic thinking, and an innovative perspective to the PSCI leadership team," said Jay Reddy, Founder and CEO of PSCI. "Steve helped the PSCI team develop the product vision with his understanding of the technology needs from the CMS ACE project experience on bundled payment pilot program."
According to Dobbs, "PSCI is at an inflection point of growth with a very strong portfolio of quality analytics products for ACO decision support, built in partnership with industry-leading customers, and a team with a 'maniacal' commitment to customer success. As a long-time member of the provider community, it is exciting to see innovative 'game-changing' technologies to address the problems in the healthcare industry."
PSCI, an innovative, emerging provider of advanced quality analytics and decision support technologies brings acute and ambulatory financial, operational, clinical and patient risk data together to help model Quality-of-Care improvement opportunities in context of Costs.
