CARROLLTON, TX, May 11, 2011 (Press-News.org) Andrew's Refinishing recently utilized the services of VIP Clouds to set up a suite of Google Enterprise Applications - Google Mail (Gmail), Google Docs, Google Calender, and Google Chat in order to better improve their business implementation strategies, and to enhance the overall structure of how electronic correspondence is maintained, and organized.
"Google Apps has allowed us to organize our inbox to better suit each one of our employees' specific needs." said Simon Telfer, President of Andrew's Refinishing. "With emails being a major part of our business, it [Google Mail] has allowed us to filter important emails, like new potential customers from junk mail, vendors etc. which in turn speeds up our response time and allows us to stay on top of things in a timely manner. It is also nice to be able to be mobile and log on and handle your [Gmail] account from any location."
"In our busy environment, especially where scheduling is involved, the Google Calendar makes it so easy to keep up with more than one person at a time." said Kimberly Dale, Design Consultant for Andrew's Refinishing. "The Google Calendar color coding feature makes scheduling a breeze by allowing us to easily see everyone's schedule with a quick glance."
The ever growing field of furniture refinishing tends to be a highly competitive market. However, John, and Lorna Telfer, founders of Andrews Refinishing, noticed that although there was a growing need for high quality furniture re-finishers in the Dallas, TX area, there were few furniture businesses that dealt directly with the process of restoring furniture. Drawing on several years of experience obtained from managing an antique restoration company, the Telfer's worked quickly to fill the void in the furniture refinishing niche, and introduced Andrew's Refinishing to the Dallas metroplex in 1985. Soon, people from all over Dallas were getting in contact with the newly formed company in order to get various pieces of antique furniture restored for both sentimental, and business related reasons. As the business grew, the Telfers knew that they needed help in getting things better organized in order to handle the demands that a growing business presented. The challenge? Figuring out how to set up a system f or their business that was both powerful enough to fulfill all their present needs, and yet flexible enough to adapt to their company's future growth. Fortunately, Andrew's Refinishing was able to get in contact with VIP Clouds, a Google Authorized Reseller based out of Carrollton, TX, that was able to show them how Andrew's Refinishing could benefit from the vast array of business related applications available through the Google Enterprise Network.
Shane Walker - Head Implementations Manager of VIP Clouds, met with the management team of Andrew's Refinishing in order to demonstrate to them how the various Google Enterprise Applications could help Andrew's Refinishing get better organized, which would help their company to more efficiently service their growing customer base. While many of the Google Applications presently available would be suitable for the day to day operations of Andrew's Refinishing, the company decided to implement certain key Google Enterprise Applications - namely Google Mail (a content management system for electronic correspondence), Google Docs (an online document, and file organizer), Google Calender (a time management web based application), and Google Chat (an instant messaging, voice over IP client interface). Out of all the chosen applications, the one that appealed to Simon Telfer, President of Andrew's Refinishing, the most was Google Mail, while Kimberly Dale, the company's Design Consultant, found Google Calender very useful due to its easy to use color coding scheme that makes keeping up with a hectic, and busy schedule less stressful.
In order to service the refinishing needs of their customers in a proficient, and timely manner, it is necessary for Andrew's Refinishing to have an electronic correspondence content management system that is not only robust, but also dependable, and highly customizable. Google Mail meets all of these requirements while still offering an email system that is both simple to manage, and easy to use - thus leaving Andrew's Refinishing more time to concentrate on bringing quality customer service to their constantly expanding customer base. Another great benefit of using Google Mail over other presently available email management systems is the fact that Google Mail (more commonly known as Gmail) is hosted, and maintained by Google Enterprises. Companies like Andrew's Refinishing are not burdened down with the day to day hassles that accompany hosting, and maintaining a company's own in-house email management system. And yet, companies, and organizations alike that utilize Gmail still get to enjoy the security benefits that would accompany managing their own email server.
Andrew's Refinishing will continue to offer their own unique brand of top quality customer service that has made them so successful for the last 25 years, but now the company will be able to provide even better service to its present customer base, as well as, manage the influx of new clientele thanks (in part) to VIP Clouds, and the newly implemented Google Enterprise Applications.
