Sims Recycling Solutions Partners with San Jose Sharks and HP for Electronics Recycling Event

SAN JOSE, CA, May 14, 2011 (Press-News.org) Sims Recycling Solutions, the world's largest electronics recycler, is partnering with the San Jose Sharks and HP in an effort to encourage the community and Sharks hockey fans to recycle their electronics. The event will be held in the parking lot of Sharks Ice at San Jose on May 21, 2011 from 9:00am-1:00pm. Sharks Ice at San Jose is located at 1500 South Tenth St, San Jose, CA 95112.

Everyone bringing an item to recycle will receive a 2-for-1 General Admission Skating Voucher redeemable at Sharks Ice at San Jose and will receive one (1) raffle ticket per item brought for recycling. This will give participants the chance to win merchandise signed by members of the San Jose Sharks hockey team.

The e-waste collection event will be set up as a drive through and drop off event. Staff will be on-site to collect items from your car quickly and conveniently. For added convenience, if you are dropping off a monitor or a TV for recycling, please print and complete the collection log found at the http://www.us.simsrecycling.com/sharks website.

Sims Recycling Solutions will accept the following: televisions (TVs), monitors, computers, laptops, cell phones, telephones, printers, speakers, keyboards, mice, PDAs, radios, stereos, MP3s, DVDs, CD Players, and VCRs (etc). Sims Recycling Solutions cannot accept household appliances, smoke detectors, microwaves, batteries, ink/toner cartridges, and cans/bottles.
