SHANGHAI, CHINA, May 17, 2011 (Press-News.org) Senior executives of Marriott International paid a special visit to the soon-to-open Shanghai Marriott Hotel City Centre on Friday 24th April 2011. Mr. Meng Lo, Hotel General Manager was accompanied with his executive committee team to welcome the VIPs upon their arrival.
Mr. Arne M. Sorenson, President and Chief Operating Officer Marriott International, and Mr. Simon Cooper, President & Managing Director, Asia Pacific made the important trip to Shanghai to visit the groups largest full-service Marriott-branded hotel in the city, which is scheduled to open July this year. Also in attendance was Mr. Craig Smith, Executive Vice President, Asia Pacific Marriott International and property owner, Mr. Alex Liu, Vice President of Agile Property Holdings Ltd.
The purpose of the visit was to observe the hotel¡¯s construction progress. The visitors were impressed with the overall development of the 720 guest rooms and suites, 2,000+ Sq M of dedicated event space which features an impressive 9 x 5 Metre LED display wall in the Grand Ballroom, 5 food & beverage outlets and a 25 Metre Indoor Pool & Spa.
