At 70 Years Young, Robert D. Willix, JR., M.D., CMO Of Cenegenics, The Nation's Largest & Fastest-Growing Preventative Health Institute, Reflects On Medicine In The 21ST Century

Upon Reaching Milestone, Willix Reflects on His 40+ Years in Medicine and Offers His Predictions For Cenegenics Medical Institute Over the Next Decade

BOCA RATON, FL, May 18, 2011

As he turns 70 years young on April 28, Robert D. Willix, Jr., M.D., the recently appointed CMO of Cenegenics Medical Institute and CEO/CMO of Cenegenics Boca Raton, reflects on the lessons learned over the course of four decades in medicine, and addresses his predictions for Cenegenics over the next 10 years. Willix, who has lived the Cenegenics lifestyle since 1976, quit heart surgery in 1981 to begin teaching preventive medicine. He has been a part of the Cenegenics team since its inception 12 years ago. With more than 12 national centers and growing, Cenegenics is leading the nation with its science-based preventive medicine philosophies, providing Fortune 500 CEOs and others with the tools to live well longer. At 70, Willix is currently training for his return to the Ironman, a journey he chronicles in his blog http://www.26YearsLater.blogspot.com.

Predictions For the Next Decade
Cenegenics will continue to change the way people think about medicine and health. They will look at every single potential biomarker of aging and find a way to optimize the aging process so that the new medical buzzword is 'functional medicine' - improving the quality of life.

The goal and objective of Cenegenics is to keep you as well as we can as long as we can at the highest level of health as we can

Willix professes to dedicate the remainder of his career to teaching physicians and the public about integrating healthcare systems by bringing in the healing arts and not relying on drugs and surgery as the only solution. As Hypocrites said, "they will become a last resort."

Lessons Learned
Longevity is only important if you believe in time. Limiting yourself by counting years is going to cheat you out of life.

The greatest advice is to live as a 5-year-old: Play as hard as you can for short periods of time. Sleep when you are tired. Love everything you come in contact with, even if it doesn't love you back. Don't be afraid to laugh at yourself.

Your thoughts create your own reality.

Exercise every day - physically first, emotionally second, spiritually all day.

Set a goal that seems impossible to achieve, achieve it, then set another one.

Quiet your mind enough to listen to God's conversation. While many people pray every day, prayer is asking for something, and meditation is finding the answer. Meditate daily.
