ActivityPro Doubles Nursing Home Clients in Under Six Months

ActivityPro's specialized Activity and Recreation software for Nursing Homes and LTC facilities doubled the number of nursing home clients. In six short months, ActivityPro has helped Nursing Homes further their leadership in Activity Programming.

2011-05-18
WHITBY, ON, May 18, 2011 (Press-News.org) ActivityPro's web-based Activity tracking and evaluation software for Nursing Homes and LTC facilities was introduced in late 2010 to very positive reviews. Within a short period of time, Activity and Recreation departments discovered the benefits of an online Activity software platform, and ActivityPro sales doubled in less than six months.

ActivityPro-enabled Nursing Homes realized time-savings in their documentation and compiling of quarterly reports. What once took several days to complete, was only taking minutes with ActivityPro.

Ron Martyn, co-owner and lead product manager of ActivityPro was pleased with the feedback, but felt there was more that could be done. Enlisting the help of Activity Professional industry leaders, Mr. Martyn set out to invest in the research and development needed to create a forward-thinking Activity and Recreation platform.

Within six months, ActivityPro was released with many new features including Integrated Calendars, Information Dashboards, Higher Security Standards, Messaging Systems and Resident Activity Suggestions.

These new features and the constant improvements to ActivityPro helped double the number of Nursing Homes using the software in the last six months. Asked if he expected such a positive response in a short period of time, Martyn responded, "Absolutely. We feel that if we save Nursing Homes time and money while improving the quality of the documentation and exceeding legislated standards, word will get out."

Martyn doesn't seem satisfied with pausing development. He explained that there is still more work underway. "I firmly believe that constant development and improvements to ActivityPro is absolutely necessary. We get so many ideas from our clients and our staff that we feel there is much more we can do for Activity and Recreation departments." Martyn started to explain more about upcoming additions, but cuts himself off, "I shouldn't reveal too much, but we'll be changing how people think about the Activity department, that's for sure!"

ActivityPro's rapid adoption is a far cry from their modest beginnings. They have big plans for the future and should be watched as they help change the way people think about Activity evaluation and documentation.
