Established in 1952, Gruter et Marchand have been representing Systech since the 1980's and sell the full range of Systech Illinois Process, Permeation and Headspace product ranges to the process industry (gas manufactures, oven and furnace manufacturers), food and pharmaceutical industry and the packaging industry. Gruter et Marchand was initially established as a jewellery manufacturer and then moved on to repair and maintenance of cars. As a result they developed a specialisation in the machine tooling market and specifically in instrumentation for dimension measuring.

In 1973, the company were approached by a moisture meter manufacturer and became their French representatives, growing the business and taking on sales staff. In addition to moisture measurement, they moved into selling oxygen measurement instrumentation and then Zirconia probes. Through a customer, Gruter et Marchand were asked why they didn't have electrochemical cell instruments in their product portfolio and he recommended that they approach Systech with a view to representing them.

Eric Gruter took on the family business in 1991 and is looking forward to continuing to grow the business between Gruter et Marchand and Systech Illinois. In a recent letter to Gruter et Marchand, Bryan Cummings, Managing Director of Systech Illinois said "Congratulations on this milestone in our relationship and please convey our sincerest thanks to all your staff".
