Stephen Stewart receives special Keystone Award from Crime Victims First and The Stewart Family honored by having Outstanding Community Service Award named after them.

AUSTIN, TX, May 26, 2011 (Press-News.org) Each year Crime Victims First awards our Outstanding Community Service Award to an individual or organization that went above and beyond the call of duty to help keep our grassroots nonprofit victims' rights resource center dream alive. This year Stephen Stewart will receive a special Keystone Award for his significant contributions over the past four years to ensure victims of crime are educated about their rights, receive support and assistance with their rights, and have remedies available to them if those rights are violated. This is a one time award. In addition, the Stewart Family will be honored by having the CV1 annual award named after them. The Stewart Family Outstanding Community Service Award will be given each year in June to an individual or agency that made significant contributions to the mission of Crime Victims First.

This year Crime Victims First is proud to announce that the following individuals and agencies have received the 2011-2012 Stewart Family Outstanding Community Service Awards: J. Shriner and KVUE News, Jazz Trumpeter Jeff Lofton, Whitney Drury, Jeremiah Reagan - The Nerd Blurb, and Daniel Davison. Thanks to their support Crime Victims First continues to slowly and gradually implement our victims' rights resource center and programs throughout Texas. "This has not been an easy road pioneering the first victims' rights resource center and enforcement program, but it is a vital service and we are dedicated to making it happen in Texas," said Jim Currier, Founder of CV1.

CV1 will honor this years award winners at our Open House, Sunday, June 5th, Noon to 3 PM, at our new offices located at 6900 Scenic Brook Drive, Austin , TX 78736. Food and Beverages provided and live Jazz Music with the Jeff Lofton Trio.
