2011-05-27
IRVINE, CA, May 27, 2011 (Press-News.org) All-Pro Science, Inc. (APS) announced that it has added NFL's recently drafted Virgil Green to its professional athlete endorser roster known as TEAM APS. TEAM APS currently has NFL talents Warren Moon, Will Shields, Naufahu Tahi, Devin and Jason McCourty among its ranks. TEAM APS also features non-football talent such as Colorado Rockies All-Star shortstop, Troy Tulowitzki, and MLS USA Chivas goalkeeper, Zach Thornton.

Considered one of the most athletic tight ends in the country going into his senior year at the University of Nevada, Virgil Green has a promising career ahead of him. A native of Tulare, California, Green was named the Nevada Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year in 2009 and recipient of the teams prestigious Striker Award. He was the only WAC player in the running as the nation's top tight end for the John Mackey Award and helped pave the way for the nation's top rushing offense, a record-breaking group that became the first team in NCAA history to have three players rush for 1,000 yards in the same season. As one of the leading tight end prospects going into the 2011 NFL draft, and after an excellent performance at the combine, Green was drafted by NFL's Denver Broncos.

Tony Gonzalez, APS President and co-founder had this to say in regards to the new tight end joining TEAM APS, "Virgil has an immediate presence and shows big promise. Curious about the up and coming tight end, we talked about the combine experience and his spectacular combine scores. All I could do was laugh because the standards have skyrocketed since I went through the process...I don't even know if I'd get drafted now-a-days! He told me that he spent his whole time training with APS products, which enthralled me. To see that it has already gotten him this far is very exciting. We whole-heartedly welcome him to TEAM APS and look forward to the great things he will bring to the NFL and to APS."
