CHESTERFIELD, MI, May 27, 2011 (Press-News.org) For Billy Craig there are two things that are foremost in his heart when talking about music. . . great songs and great performances.
His energy shines bright and his notoriety continues to grow nationally through mainstream media with Carrie Underwood News, Forbes, Wall Street Journal, the Today Show, WSM in Nashville, All Access Music Group and many other radio shows around the country.
Locally, Billy has been featured on Channel 4 WDIV, The Mitch Albom Show, WCSX's Overeasy Show, WYCD's The Coop Show and has done extensive parody work for Dr. Don of WYCD, Detroit's Country Radio.
His experience runs as long and deep as the great Mississippi River, having had performed all over the USA and abroad, Billy has played live on radio and tv and in many venues from smoke-filled corner bars to the largest amphitheatre in his home state of Michigan, DTE Energy Music Theater.
For this small town boy being in front of a crowd is as natural as walking and breathing, he rocks the house every time. Most can get on stage, but it takes more than that, it takes a certain kind of performer to put on a memorable show with legendary quality . . . and that's exactly what Billy brings to the stage. . . an incredible show. He's a charismatic entertainer that puts the audience first and isn't afraid to walk the edge if it means getting the crowd involved.
As a songwriter, Billy has a flair all his own. His style is unique with well written storylines and music that is as refreshing as a twist of lime in tequila. Having a certain edge to his talent. . . as a songwriter, performer and guitarist and he's not afraid to let that show.
"Billy is without question one of the greatest artist and writers that I have ever followed in music. Thank you for contacting one of Nashville's most awarded Grammy winning music management firms" says Robert Metzger of Capitol Management Group.
His songs have received interest from radio both in the USA and overseas with his first CD, "This Side of Somewhere", including his feature summer song, 'Flip Flops' airing on NBC's Today Show.
He is just as excited, if not more, over his second full-length CD, "Next Exit Paradise", JUST RELEASED for the Summer. It's been in the making for a couple of years and is a perfect summer release with a rocky, beachy, country feel.
Releasing in Summer 2011 is his second single off this album, "Hometown USA"!
