LateRooms.com - Prague Venue to Welcome Biffy Clyro

Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro are heading to Prague on their European tour next month.

2010-09-16
PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC, September 16, 2010 (Press-News.org) Alternative rock band Biffy Clyro are set to arrive in the Czech Republic next month, with a performance in Prague scheduled for Friday October 29th.

The Scottish trio, whose fifth album Only Revolutions was nominated for this year's Mercury Prize, will play the Czech capital's Lucerna Music Bar as part of their European tour.

Kicking off in France on October 8th, the band's 20-date trip across the continent will take them to 11 different countries, culminating with a Halloween show in Basel, Switzerland.

Before that concert, fans will be able to book Prague hotels and see Biffy Clyro's explosive live performance at the Lucerna.

The gig is likely to attract lovers of the group from far and wide, as they have been steadily building up a devoted fan base since the release of their debut album Blackened Sky in 2002.

Only Revolutions, which emerged in November 2009, features hit singles such as Mountains, Bubbles and the recent God and Satan.

The album received a four-star review from the Guardian, with critic Sarah Boden praising the record's "irresistible tunes" and claiming that it "could well be Biffy's finest hour".

Tickets for the Prague concert are available online, priced at 385 Czech koruna (GBP12.80) plus booking fee.

For more information on this event, visit the Lucerna Music Bar website.
