SAN DIEGO, CA, June 04, 2011 (Press-News.org) Former San Francisco Social Media Strategist is Latest Coup for JWT Digital Unit; Communications Dept. adds New Associate as well
Continuing to expand capabilities and resources following last year's WPP acquisition, digital marketing and technology company Digitaria has expanded its communications capabilities and hired Stephanie Shkolnik as social media strategist, a new position.
"An ardent social media evangelist who nevertheless maintains an even-keel eye on the bottom line and ROI, Stephanie joins Digitaria from Double Forte in San Francisco, where she led the public relations and marketing communications company's social efforts."
"Stephanie has proven herself adept at bridging the gap between traditional and social conversations, and in her last position showed a real knack for the creation of clients' social personas," said Daniel Khabie, Digitaria's founder and chief executive officer. "She 'gets' social media, and will be an immediate boon for both our current clients and several potential clients."
While at Double Forte, Mrs. Shkolnik launched produce industry leader Fresh Express into its first social media endeavor, building and executing social media marketing strategies that enhanced the brand's awareness. Her success for Fresh Express led to similar subsequent assignments for Major League Gaming as well as CamelBak, the innovators of hands-free hydration. She successfully built upon the both brands' established traditional campaigns, amplifying them through Facebook, Twitter, blogs and other social platforms.
"I'm thrilled to become part of the Digitaria team at this exciting time for growth in both our industry and the company specifically," said Mrs. Shkolnik. "The opportunities are plentiful, and social is still a place where you can be a pioneer and set in place foundations for change that will resonate for years to come."
Mrs. Shkolnik began her new social media strategist position at Digitaria June 1, coinciding with Interactive Day San Diego, which she attended and made her Twitter debut via Digitaria's @digithoughts. Â She reports to Doug Hecht, Digitaria's COO.
Additionally, Digitaria has hired Kristina Eastham as Communications Coordinator. She comes to Digitaria from Specialized Marketing Services in Santa Ana, Calif., where Ms. Eastham was brand manager for the company's two divisions: Team SMS, a marketing agency, and SMS Fulfillment & Distribution, a fulfillment company.
Mrs. Shkolnik and Ms. Eastham are the latest hires at the rapidly expanding Digitaria, which brought aboard 13 new employees in the past month, as the company continues to capitalize upon marketing and technology opportunities in the wake of it's affiliation with global advertising powerhouse JWT.
Founded in 1997 and aligned with global marketing communications brand JWT in 2010, Digitaria has remained a pioneer in digital marketing and technology, providing unique, innovative solutions to an array of clients around the world. With deep industry experience and capabilities, Digitaria has undergone exceptional growth to become one of the country's leading full-service digital agencies. Clients include the National Football League and several of its franchises, Best Western International, Hasbro, Inc., DreamWorks Animation, NBC Universal, Qualcomm, Inc., and many others.
