BOURNEMOUTH, ENGLAND, June 08, 2011 (Press-News.org) Cult indie rockers British Sea Power are due to visit Bournemouth as part of their busy summer touring schedule.
The Brighton-based group will perform at the Old Fire Station on Sunday July 24th, when fans can expect to hear songs from their latest studio album Valhalla Dancehall.
Famed for their exciting and occasionally chaotic live shows, the six-piece group formed in 2000 and released debut LP The Decline of British Sea Power to widespread critical acclaim in 2003.
Do You Like Rock Music?, their third album from 2008, was nominated for the Mercury Prize.
The band are also known for performing in a variety of unusual locations, having played gigs at London's Natural History Museum, the Chelsea Flower Show, a slate mine in Cornwall and even the Great Wall of China.
British Sea Power's show in Bournemouth will give admirers a chance to see them play a relatively intimate venue in the midst of several summer festival dates.
Tickets for the gig are priced at GBP13 plus booking fee, with doors due to open at 19:00 BST.
LateRooms.com recommends a wide range of Bournemouth hotels that could appeal to concert-goers, including the De Vere Royal Bath hotel.
