ATLANTA, GA, June 10, 2011 (Press-News.org) In 2009 the Atlanta Greek Picnic pledged to make a $10,000 donation to Morris Brown College annually in an effort to help restore the college. This year organizers continue with that pledge and commit the same. A check will be presented to the college on Saturday during the picnic which in years past has drawn crowds of over 10,000.
The Atlanta Greek Picnic weekend designed for members of Black Fraternities and Sororities to have a fun filled experience establishing new relationships, and networking, while bringing awareness and providing attendees the opportunity to give back to the community will kick off with its yearly events on Wednesday, June 8.
This weekend has consistently grown to draw crowds from numerous states across the United States. Starting from subtle beginnings the event has become the most popular destination and focal point for all Greek Chapters, Line Brothers, Line Sisters and Sands to reunite and socialize for one exciting weekend of unity, service as well as bonding.
