BOCA RATON, FL, June 12, 2011 (Press-News.org) Smokehouse Grille & Wingery, the area's first authentic smokehouse dining concept located at 2257 North Federal Highway in Boca Raton is launching its second location this July in West Boca Raton at the former location of the Thirsty Turtle, located at 9908 Yamato Road.
The expansion marks a significant achievement for the privately owned barbecue establishment, which first launched to the area nearly one year ago with a modest 1,500 square-foot location. At 4,136 square feet, Smokehouse West Boca will be more than double the original's size and will almost triple its smoking capabilities.
Need a visual? While the East Boca Raton location can smoke more than 2,000 pounds of meat at one time, Smokehouse West will be able to smoke more than 90 slabs of ribs, 70 pork loins, 50 briskets, 30 turkeys and 120 chickens simultaneously, with average smoking times ranging from 2 to 19 hours for fall-off-the-bone, true smoked barbecue sensations.
With this expansive new venture, Co-Founders Mark Uffer and Erik Frasco plan on maintaining their philosophy of providing patrons with authentic smoked barbecue selections with an emphasis on catering to West Boca Raton residents, families and executives with more family-friendly items and aggressive lunch specials.
"We are extremely excited for this expansion and are truly realizing our American dream in the making. We thank and commend our loyal fans and supporters for their commitment to recognizing the quality difference in real smoked barbecue. We see tremendous potential to establish a loyal consumer following in West Boca Raton," says Mark Uffer.
The essence of Smokehouse's distinct taste of barbecue is in the rich flavors achieved by custom smokers from Missouri and their "Magic Dust" seasoning. All-natural meats are gently rubbed with Smokehouse's proprietary "Magic Dust, " a secret blend of spices, before the long and slow smoking process over a hardwood fire begins. This unique method creates a visible smoke ring otherwise known as "bark" that refines and enhances the barbecue flavor.
Smokehouse's extensive assortment of offerings include smoked ribs, brisket, chicken, wings, sausages, and pork paired with delicious homemade sides like Cole Slaw, Poblano Cheddar Smokehouse Bread, and Baked Beans like Grandma used to make. Smokehouse specialty homemade sauces include House BBQ, Carolina BBQ, St Louis BBQ, and a signature Chipotle-Beer BBQ sauce.
Smokehouse West will serve a wide range of choices, including protein-packed salads like their flavorful Pulled-Chicken Salad ($7.95), fresh seafood specialty dishes such as their Hardwood-Grilled Mahi Mahi ($14.95), or the savory Buffalo Shrimp Basket ($12.95). Veggie worshipers will enjoy menu items like the scrumptious Corn Nuggets ($4.95), classics such as the Fried Mushrooms ($5.95) as well as healthier items such as the protein-rich, home-style Baked Beans ($2.95) - all while providing guests with the same home-style smoked bbq flavors they desire.
Smokehouse West will serve daily lunch and dinner specials, along with a unique and tasty kids menu that will include fun options like a peanut butter and jelly flavored milk shakes (grown-ups are encouraged to indulge)!
Smokehouse Grille & Wingery West will be located at 9908 Yamato Road, Boca Raton, FL 33434.
