Focus Softnet Expands Far East Asia Operations By Opening New Office In Philippines

The new office will help Focus Softnet consolidate and strengthen its regional presence and will act as a support services hub for its ASEAN operations

2011-06-14
MAKATI CITY, PHILIPPINES, June 14, 2011 (Press-News.org) In line with its global expansion plans, Focus Softnet, the leading software development Company, today announced the opening of its latest office in Makati City in the Philippines. The new office will help Focus Softnet consolidate and strengthen its regional presence and will act as a support services hub for its ASEAN operations.

Speaking on the opening, Mr. Jawad Ali Khan, COO at Focus Softnet said, "After having established our operations in Malaysia and Singapore, we wanted to expand our operations further in the region. Philippines is an emerging market with a growth rate of approximately six percent per annum on its GDP and a consistent eight to nine percent increase in IT spending year on year. Hence, we felt the time was right for us to enter this market by opening a local office here. We see huge potential to position our extensive solutions portfolio in the fast growing SMB market segment here."

Focus Softnet's Makati office will cover cities such as Metro Manila, Makati, Pasay, Pasig City, Quezon, Antipolo city and other suburbs around Manila and Makati. The new office will initially have a team of ten people on board with the company planning to recruit at least another ten people for expanding their local operations. "Philippines offers an excellent pool of local talent and we are confident we will meet our resource requirements by hiring people locally. The local internet penetration levels are also increasing at phenomenal rate every year, which would allow us to implement cloud based product delivery model besides continuing to sell on our perpetual licensing model," Mr. Jawad added.

Focus Softnet has devised a highly exciting and rewarding reseller and partner model based on the concept 'Partner to Prosper' and expects to work closely with companies interested in partnering with it in promoting its solutions and leveraging on tremendous market potential. Focus Softnet is also willing to explore synergy with other software vendors, consulting companies, computer hardware enterprises and system integrations to evolve enduring and mutually win-win partnerships.

"We are in discussions with four major local companies specializing in niche vertical specific solutions, consulting and training services on the same model and expect to sign some agreements soon. We will be happy to welcome other companies willing to explore and understand our 'Partner to Prosper' model and how they can leverage from it," Mr. Jawad explained.

Focus Softnet plans to make its Philippines office the support services hub for ASEAN countries. The new office will help Focus Softnet strengthen its ties with its local customers by offering them high-quality technical support and consulting services closer to home. The company also plans to have a 24 hour call centre, which will allow it to keep its other offices lean where they can focus on sales and business development while the implementation and support services would be managed from Philippines support centre.

Over the last two decades Focus Softnet has emerged into an established multinational organization with an extensive worldwide network of 21 offices spread across 16 countries. Focus Softnet develops solutions that move businesses and helps them grow in a highly competitive environment.
