Pets Best Insurance Names Chris Middleton New VP of Marketing

Pets Best Insurance has named Chris Middleton the company's new vice president of marketing.

2011-06-15
BOISE, ID, June 15, 2011 (Press-News.org) In a company announcement, Pets Best Insurance CEO Greg McDonald wrote he was happy to introduce Middleton in his new role at the pet insurance company.

"As a result of Chris's significant contributions to Pets Best Insurance, we've promoted Chris to our Senior Management Team as VP of Marketing," McDonald wrote.

Middleton, who joined Pets Best Insurance in 2010, previously worked 18 years for Hewlett Packard. He has an MBA from the University of Oregon and is also a certified public accountant.

"I'm thrilled to be working for Pets Best Insurance because it's a business devoted to helping pets live longer, healthier lives," he said, adding that one of the perks of his job is being able to bring his dog, Attie, to work.

Middleton said he learned the importance and necessity of pet insurance the hard way--as many pet owners do.

"In 2007 my previous dog, Guido, needed surgery for what turned out to be terminal cancer," he said. "Making the decision to pay $3,800 in the vet's office late at night was difficult," Middleton said, adding he wondered how he would also pay his kids' tuition.

Now that Middleton has Attie insured, he said he knows he can make the best medical decision for her--with cost being the least of his worries.

Middleton lives in Boise with his wife of 22 years, Nancy, with whom he has two children.

Boise, Idaho-based Pets Best Insurance provides pet insurance plans that reimburse pet owners at a straightforward 80 percent of veterinary services after a deductible, with no benefit schedules or fee restrictions.
