"It's an evening filled with art, music and tasty food." She continues, "Everyone is welcome and we look forward to providing our guests with resort-style accommodations during their Northern Michigan vacation."
The 2011 Gallery Walk in Downtown Petoskey takes place on June 16, 2011, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Many of the galleries participating will have artists on hand to present and showcase their work. Walking maps will be given out free of charge and will be available at the Petoskey Downtown Office, the Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce and select galleries. Stamps can also be earned for purchasing art. The drawing takes place at the Afterglow Party in the Rose Garden at Stafford's Perry Hotel.
Gallery Walk sponsorship is provided by the art galleries of Downtown Petoskey along with the Downtown Management Board and Crooked Tree Arts Center. Galleries participating in this year's event are: Arlington Jewelers, Crooked Tee Arts Center Art Tree Sales Gallery, Mitchell Street Frameworks & Gallery, Northern Artists Market, Shadetree Stained Glass Studio, Stafford's Gallery of Art and History, Ward & Eis Gallery, and WARD Gallery at Ciao Bella.
Bluegreen's Boyne, Michigan resort is convenient to an abundance of trails perfect for hiking and biking. Guests can also make a splash at Avalanche Bay, Michigan's largest indoor water park with an array of aquatic activities. Michigan's state stone is the Petoskey Stone, and these fossilized souvenirs can only be found in Petoskey State Park, Magnus Park and from local shop owners. After an art lover's night on the town, Mountain Run at Boyne offers all the comforts of home including an indoor hot tub, full kitchen, DVD player, cozy fireplace and balcony with picture-perfect views of the Michigan countryside.
