2011-06-16
IRVINE, CA, June 16, 2011 (Press-News.org) Dr. Andrew Smith (www.asmithmd.com) says there is a noticeable rise in the number of women and men interested in combining surgical and nonsurgical procedures at his Irvine plastic surgery practice. Dr. Smith specializes in providing a personalized treatment plan, including a one-on-one consultation and education about proposed treatments.

"I always look forward to assisting my patients to explore the potential of cosmetic surgery, and it's great to see that more people are combining procedures for added benefits," says Dr. Smith. "Not only do women and men save in the overall cost and recovery time when they combine procedures, but treatments tend to complement each other for a more natural and beautiful result."

In Irvine, breast enhancement procedures, for example, are increasingly requested by women as part of a Mommy Makeover. The "makeover" typically also includes a body contouring procedure, such as a tummy tuck or liposuction. However, women also can combine it with a non-surgical option such as BOTOX Cosmetic.

"Breast enhancement procedures are extremely popular across the nation, and more women are discovering the potential of additional procedures to achieve their cosmetic goals," notes Dr. Smith. "I have noticed that when women learn about combined procedures such as a Mommy Makeover, their faces light up at the idea of being able to enhance their appearance without the need to stage multiple surgeries and go through multiple recovery periods."

Another procedure that is increasingly requested in Irvine is a facelift. In some cases, women may want to consider combining it with an injectable filler to plump their lips and rejuvenate their overall appearance.

Andrew Smith, MD, FACS (www.asmithmd.com) is a board-certified plastic surgeon whose patients come from Orange County and all over California. Dr. Smith earned his medical doctorate from George Washington University and has years of experience in addition to residency training in both cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
