Concord Area Plastic Surgery Practice Offers Specials on Injectables
2011-06-16
SAN RAMON, CA, June 16, 2011 (Press-News.org) In recent years, plastic surgeons have seen an increasing number of their patients turning to non-surgical medical spa services for a quick, painless way to refresh and rejuvenate their look. Dr. Thomas McNemar has noticed this trend among San Ramon and Concord plastic surgery patients at his practice, McNemar Cosmetic Surgery (www.mcnemarcosmeticsurgery.com). Because medical spa services are so popular among his patients, Dr. McNemar is offering specials on BOTOX Cosmetic, JUVEDERM, and Artefil treatments from now until the end of the year.

"It's no surprise that medical spa services have become increasingly popular," says Dr. McNemar "Non-surgical cosmetic procedures are minimally invasive, require no downtime, and can generally be performed during a patient's lunch break, yet they produce visible, dramatic results that can last up to a year in some cases."

BOTOX Cosmetic is currently the most popular non-surgical cosmetic procedure in the country. In many cases, Dr. McNemar recommends BOTOX as an alternative to facelift for Bay Area patients who want to treat fine lines and wrinkles that aren't extensive enough to necessitate a surgical procedure. BOTOX is an injectable treatment that can smooth and soften wrinkles that develop naturally between the eyebrows and along the forehead as a result of repeated muscle movement over time. The BOTOX compound works by relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles; Dr. McNemar will inject it at various sites on the face based on the location of muscle contractions that are causing wrinkles. A typical BOTOX treatment can take as little as 10 minutes and patients can expect results to last up to 4 months.

JUVEDERM Injectable Gel is another injectable that Dr. McNemar is currently offering on special for men and women from San Ramon and Concord at his plastic surgery practice. JUVEDERM is a gel filler made from hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in the human body. Gel fillers smooth wrinkles by adding volume to the face. JUVEDERM can soften the appearance of laugh lines, frown lines, marionette lines, and crow's feet. It can also be used to enhance lip volume. Results of a JUVEDERM treatment can last 6 months or more.

"Summer can be a very busy time - people go on vacation, kids are out of school, and everyone wants to spend time outdoors enjoying the sun. People generally don't want to spend their summer in bed recovering from a surgical," says Dr. McNemar. "Because injectable treatments offer results similar to a face lift, Bay Area men and women might opt for a BOTOX, JUVEDERM, or Artefil treatment to give them a quick facial touch-up for the summer months and then reconsider a surgical face lift during the fall."

Dr. McNemar will be offering BOTOX and JUVEDERM treatments at a discounted rate for 1 day each month until December. BOTOX Cosmetic will be offered at $10 per unit, a savings of $350 per total area, and JUVEDERM will be $425 per syringe, a savings of $75 per syringe. Visit his Web site for the complete schedule of event days at his San Ramon and Tracy cosmetic surgery practice.

"As with any other procedure, I'd recommend that anyone considering an injectable treatment come to my office for a consultation," adds Dr. McNemar. "I'll explain exactly what each treatment can do for you and help you decide if BOTOX or JUVEDERM is right for your facial enhancement goals."

Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Thomas McNemar (www.mcnemarcosmeticsurgery.com) offers a full menu of cosmetic surgery procedures for both women and men, with a special emphasis on body and breast enhancements including specialized procedures for patients who have lost significant weight. He earned his medical doctorate from the Medical College of Ohio and continued his learning experience by completing fellowships in advanced techniques in plastic surgery as well as hand and microvascular surgery. Recognized for his results in body and breast enhancements, Dr. McNemar has also authored a book detailing advanced techniques for effective post-weight-loss surgery.
