"Days of our Lives" Star Peter Reckell Continues His Support of All Things Green Through Appearance with Livin Lite Recreational Vehicles

Daytime Superstar to Show Off the Only Environmentally-Friendly Travel Trailer at June 26th Tailgate Party

2011-06-16
LOS ANGELES, CA, June 16, 2011 (Press-News.org) Emmy-nominated actor Peter Reckell, who stars as "Bo Brady" on NBC's longest-running scripted series, "Days of our Lives," will greet fans, sign autographs, pose for photos, and support the first environmentally-friendly travel trailer on June 26, 2011. Reckell will help raise awareness for the aluminum-constructed trailer at the appearance, which will run from 1:00pm until 3:00pm at Livin Lite Recreational Vehicles' headquarters at 1025 E. Waterford St., Wakarusa, Indiana 46573.

A devout environmentalist, bicycles, electric cars, conservation and recycling are a daily part of Peter's life, and he can often seen pedaling to work. His love of nature and concerns for the environment motivated him and he wife, singer Kelley Moneymaker, to tear down their home and build an eco-friendly, fuel-efficient, solar-powered home, shipping the remains of their previous home to Mexico for reuse by Habitat for Humanity. Despite the home's contemporary architectural design, Reckell's house features many environmentally-friendly resources and appliances including a photovoltaic system with battery backup, recycled glass terrazzo floors with radiant heating, recycled denim and organic cotton insulation, bamboo cabinets and doors, and an entire water reclamation system. The couple even threw in a few extra solar panels so they could sell energy back to the utility company.

The Livin Lite Eco-Friendly Trailer is unique in that it is made fully out of aluminum and contains no pressed woods or glues and is 98% recyclable. Most exteriors of RVs and trailer have toxic glues, paints, and press boards and are rid of off-gasing which can add toxins into the air, walls, and cabinets, but this one is made of aluminum inside as well. One of the best features of the Livin Lite Trailer is that it actually is light; so light, in fact, that it saves an exorbitant amount of gas because of its weight and it can be pulled by almost any vehicle.
