PHILADELPHIA, PA, June 16, 2011 (Press-News.org) Philadelphia personal injury attorney Alan M. Feldman of Feldman Shepherd Wohlgelernter Tanner Weinstock & Dodig LLP will be a featured speaker during a Business of Law seminar to be presented at the American Association for Justice (AAJ) 2011 Annual Convention. The convention, taking place from July 9 through July 13 in New York, N.Y., will feature educational programs for plaintiffs' lawyers, as well as political speakers, networking opportunities, and social events. The half-day Business of Law seminar will focus on business development, building a practice, financial strategy, and other aspects of successful law firm management. Feldman will deliver the program's feature presentation, "Building Your Business from Whole Cloth."

A founding member of Feldman Shepherd and the firm's Co-Managing Partner, Feldman has been winning verdicts and settlements in serious personal injury and class action matters for more than 30 years. His diverse practice includes auto defect and crashworthiness cases, medical malpractice litigation, class actions on behalf of consumers and other significant civil matters. He is a seasoned trial lawyer enjoying a record of success in an impressive variety of cases, including claims against HMOs and health insurance companies for fraudulent medical care, recoveries against auto manufacturers for failing to incorporate essential safety devices in their vehicles, multimillion-dollar awards for injured laborers, and a $1 million verdict for a client improperly denied a jackpot by an Atlantic City casino. Some of his recent successes include a $10 million settlement in an airbag non-deployment case, a verdict of more than $4 million for an infant killed in a trucking accident, $6 million and $5.6 million verdicts in separate class action cases against a major automobile manufacturer, and an $18 million settlement in a product liability claim filed against the manufacturer of a portable heater that caused a Philadelphia house fire.

As a respected leader in the Philadelphia legal community, Feldman has served as Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association, President of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, a Trustee of Community Legal Services and the Jenkins Law Library, and a board member of the Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigent Program. In the past two years, he has been recognized as a one of the Top 10 Super Lawyers in Pennsylvania. Feldman has also been consistently recognized as one of the Top 100 Super Lawyers in both Pennsylvania and Philadelphia.

Feldman is also a frequent author and lecturer, having co-authored a textbook, served as an adjunct professor, and lectured and published materials for more than 50 trial skills programs.
