PERTH, AUSTRALIA, June 17, 2011 (Press-News.org) The world tour of Ballet Evolucion is set to kick off in Perth at the start of next month.

Fusing ballet with contemporary dance styles and hip-hop music, the show has been described by the organisers as raw, fresh and dynamic.

A live all-star Cuban band will accompany the dancers with interpretations of hit tracks from the likes of Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, Shakira, Chris Brown and Beyonce.

Some of Cuba's top dance talent will appear in the production, with the stars including National School of Arts graduate Michel Avalos Artigas and Lianett Rodriguez Gonzalez, who featured as a soloist at the 2010 Cuban TV Awards.

Perth's Regal Theatre is set to stage the concert from Friday July 1st to Sunday July 17th 2011.

All evening shows get underway at 20:00 local time, apart from on Sundays when they start an hour earlier. Matinees will also be held at 14:00 on Saturdays and 15:00 on Sundays.

Tickets for the performance are priced at AU$69.90.

Following its opening stint in the west coast city, the Ballet Revolucion tour will head on to Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane.
