QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA, June 21, 2011 (Press-News.org) The first app, called myAppalogues, provides users with a selection of child focused products categories and activities covering goods, services and information all designed to make life easier.
The in-app promotional marketplace, myapp4KIDS, is now complimented with KIDSPAGES a mobile directory of over 700 kids and mum focused product websites for easy reference.
KIDSPAGES and is believed to be the first, and most comprehensive, mobile listing of its kind and is a great mobile resource for parents.
The drive behind the mobile app was differentiation and user experience.
Co-founders Jillian Manly and Kern Wyman say they did not want to be one of 30 seagulls chasing after a single french fry, which is what they feel the web has come.
"Even though it's early days, mobile technology offers so much more. It's a better user experience, more selective and discerning, and for us, a compelling driver was that it allows us to provide each user of the app a better experience," Ms Manly says.
"So they get what they want when they are looking for gifts or products, or just seeking 15 or 30 minutes of escape during a busy day.
"For merchants also, it's an uncluttered, targeted, and very exciting new marketing channel - we give them first class visibility in that channel."
The myAppalogues app has grown significantly since the first version was launched late last year.
It is now available for Google Android smartphones and tablets too and has a continually growing content base.
In addition to the marketplace (myApp4KIDS) and the directory listing (KIDSPAGES) myAppalogues includes some simple and fun things like KIDSFUN, fun suggestions for activities with the kids wherever you are, and myApp4TIPS, household tips and tricks.
Both KIDSFUN and myApp4TIPS also allows anyone at all to have their name appear in the app.
Users can upload their own tips, tricks and activities to share with anyone around the world.
Kern Wynman says it is a great feature that sets the app apart from other apps on the market .
"The great part about it is that busy parents can find endless ideas for quick and easy activities right at their fingertips, so they can focus more on spending quality time together than arranging things to do," Mr Wynam says.
"It's a great resource for busy and on-the-go parents. Just load it on to your phone and it's there wherever you are and whenever you want.
"myAppalogues also plans to continue bringing in third party content that their users want to see."
Another recent edition is articles from EnrichMe, a female money and community focused website filled with lively, informative content from experts with no selling agenda, just the desire to empower women to make good money choices.
There is also a plan to highlight the best product and place reviews, again with assistance from both users of the app and other businesses.
It all adds up to being a great mobile app, a one-stop shop for parents around the world, that want to browse, pre-shop, find something unique, make life easier or just relax with information they want to know.
For merchants interested in testing the mobile channel myAppalogues also has a special, limited time promotion on right now.
To celebrate the new app launch, the introduction of KIDSPAGES, plus the android release myAppalogues is offering merchants free advertising until September in both the marketplace (myapp4KIDS) and the directory listing (KIDSPAGES).
Details are on the website or get in touch directly with myAppalogues at info@myappalogues.com.
The myAppalogues app is available free for all users and can be downloaded directly for iPhone/iPad through the Apple App Store and for Google Android smartphones from the Google Android App Market.
