The Swedish Midsummer Celebration at the Rembrandt Hotel

Thai-Swedish Chamber of Commerce celebrated the midsummer at the Rembrandt Hotel on June 18th at da Vinci Italian restaurant, offering a great swedish buffet style with kids' BBQ station.

BANGKOK, THAILAND, June 22, 2011 (Press-News.org) 20 June 2011 - The Rembrandt Hotel was proud to host the annual Swedish Midsummer celebration in coordination with the Thai- Swedish chamber of commerce in Bangkok. One hundred people from the local Swedish community joined the event to celebrate the afternoon with their friends and families at da Vinci Italian restaurant.

The food was specially prepared by Executive Chef Andrew Mann and his team with specialty homemade treats such as a selection of fresh baked European breads, traditional smoked salmon "gravad lax", Swedish Kalles Kaviar, pickled herring, Janssons Temptation, Swedish meat balls served with cream sauce & lingonberries, Swedish pancakes and much more.

Kids also joined in on the celebration with a special BBQ station, offering a kids menu, a kids corner and an entire program of games, song and dancing. The family friendly atmosphere was enjoyed by all with beautiful flowers and music flooding the afternoon.

The Rembrandt would also like to thanks the sponsors of the event, Scan Deli and Swedish School Association of Bangkok whose support helped to make this event a memorable one.

In attendance were prominent members of the Swedish Community such as Peter Bjork, Executive Director of Thai Swedish Chamber of Commerce, Goran Nyhlen, CEO of Scan Deli, Bjorn Richardson, the General Manager of Oakwood, Stefan de Bekassy, CEO of Hvidsten group, Mattias Wallin, Corporate Outsourcing Manager of Nestle, Bengt Juhlin, Director of Scandinavian Collection and Rembrandt's General Manager Eric Hallin.

The Thai-Swedish Chamber of commerce was formed in Thailand since 1989. Currently, with more than 100 members, the Chamber conducts an essential role in assisting the growth of Thai-Swedish relations. The chamber is also a part of the joint foreign Chambers of Commerce of Thailand assisting in the development of international commerce within the country.
