GOLD COAST, AUSTRALIA, September 18, 2010 (Press-News.org) High-octane racing and a host of famous music acts are on the bill at the Gold Coast 600.
The V8 Supercar Championship Series event takes place between October 22nd and 24th 2010, with star drivers such as David Brabham, former Formula One world champion Jacques Villeneuve and three-time Indianapolis 500 winner Helio Castroneves all lined up to take part.
Gold Coast accommodation customers fortunate enough to get tickets for the weekend will also be treated to performances from a number of big-name bands and artists in 600 Sounds, which kicks off on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights once the racing has finished.
Among the performers set to wow the crowds are house music legend Ian Carey, who will play on the opening night, plus Empire of the Sun and Sneaky Sound System, who are both set to appear on Sunday October 24th.
However, the biggest draw for guests staying at the cheap accommodation Gold Coast has on offer could prove to be Mike Love's The Beach Boys, who will headline on Saturday October 23rd.
Despite this packed bill, one-day general admission tickets start at just A$43 if purchased in advance, or A$48 on the gate.
Three-day passes are available from A$140 on the day, or A$10 cheaper in advance.
For more information on this event, visit the Gold Coast 600 website or contact the organisers on (+61) 7 5630 0364.
