Tommy Register, PE, Joins SEPI Engineering & Construction As Transportation Program Manager

Surveying Expert Joins Local Engineering Firm

RALEIGH, NC, June 30, 2011 (Press-News.org) Sepi Asefnia, president of SEPI Engineering & Construction (www.sepiengineering.com), a firm which provides civil engineering and planning services to private and public sector clients across the Southeast, has announced the addition of Tommy Register, PE, as transportation program manager. Register's responsibilities range from project management to hands-on design and document preparations, including assisting with marketing, preparing proposals and fee estimates, and performing quality control reviews of construction plans and documents.

A native of Cleveland County, N.C., Register brings almost two decades of experience in the field of surveying along with many years spent working in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. Register holds an Associates in Science degree from Montreat College. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from NC State University. In addition, Register is certified in the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Certification Program from Duke University's Nicholas School of the Environment and Earth Sciences. He resides in Cary, N.C.

- Prior to joining SEPI Engineering, Register worked for the N.C. Department of Transportation Roadway Design, preparing NEPA Documents to Site Design.
- Register has been involved with the American Council of Engineering Companies of North Carolina (ACEC/NCDOT) and the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) for several years. He is on the ACEC/NCDOT Joint Conference Committee and will serve as the upcoming vice president of ASHE.
