HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA, June 30, 2011 (Press-News.org) Imagine hip-hop without beatboxing. Imagine a world without beatboxers. Isn't that quite unsettling?
Imagine no more for Philasifer is here. Philasifer aka Ronald Wayne Johnson Jr. is a hip-hop Renaissance man. He is a rapper, producer, actor, and best of all, a beatboxer. When he performs on stage, he transforms into a live-wire talent spewing thought-provoking rhymes and sublime instrumentals.
Philasifer is a product of the California Bay Area and he began his love affair with hip-hop at 12. He entered the music industry with the rap-beatbox crew Uncontrolled Substance in the late 90's. In 2001, he released the EP 'Think Different' and was featured in Billboard magazine's Broadband Talent.net section. From 2002 to 2004, Philasifer has collaborated in several albums including Rebellious' 'Ride With Me' and Nos Leratz' 'Don't Drink the Kool Aide'. In 2004 he founded his own indie production company, Perfected Dynamics Productions, which released his solo EP 'Demo'. In 2007, Philasifer was signed with Sonic Wave International Records/Sony BMG, releasing 'Emceeing Is Believing'. In 2009, he would meet MC Truth and together they formed the hip-hop duo known as Real Talk and unleashed to the masses their album 'What They Don't Want You To Hear'. He's produced the track 'Broken Is Broken' for soul artist Amber Ojeda, recorded and released the 'Grown Man Mix-tape', and created a song titled 'Flip It Around' to raise proceeds for the medical bills of DJ Kool Herc. Philasifer cranks out tunes like the slick ingenue that he is - for him, there is no distinction between life and art; he writes what he lives and lives what he writes.
Citing Count Basie, Nina Simone, KRS One, Nas, Weezer, George Benson, and Ellis Regina as his music influences, Philasifer specializes in a potent mix of meaningful rhymes with marvelous music that you can relate and dance to. Devotees of hip-hop will not be disappointed and their taste will be satiated.
Get your fill of Philasifer and download his album at iTunes distributed by JMD Records/INgrooves (a partner of Universal Music Group).

2011-06-30
Plans to toughen up on prison sentences and end the cycle of reoffending were outlined (on 22 June) in the new Justice Bill - a reversal of previous UK Government policies that proposed longer sentences. It raises questions about whether such policies about crime and punishment are based on proper research-based evidence, not shaped to fit the mood of the moment, argues the Academy of Social Sciences.
A new publication shows the way university research has dramatically changed the way crime and offenders are tackled. 'Making the case for social science: Crime' (published ...

What is Alternative Dispute Resolution or "ADR"?
2011-06-30
As a Chicago personal injury attorney with many years of experience, I have filed lawsuits against countless defendants, alleging negligence, medical malpractice, defective products and every other tort imaginable. Invariably, the attorneys hired by the defendant's insurance company file what is known as a "jury demand". What this means is that the defendant insists that the case be tried before a jury and not just a judge. The reason for this tactic is to make it as difficult and expensive as possible for the plaintiff to win. In conservative jurisdictions such ...
