NEW YORK, NY, June 30, 2011 (Press-News.org) 111 Lexington Wine & Liquors, a Murray Hill & Kips Bay neighborhood wine shop, who specializes in selling quality wine and educating each customer how to buy and appreciate wine has introduced three new weekly wine tastings.
Since opening in 2009, 111 Lex Wine has strived to offer customers not only the competitive prices on the wine and spirits they love, but constant education. "Wine is a complex world and can often be daunting to people who know little about it. We want to educate the customer so they can tell the difference between good and great wine," says manager Leo van Kiteishvili.
In order to keep customers educated on wine, 111 Lex offers three educational wine tastings a week. Every Thursday through Saturday from 6pm-8pm customers can come into 111 Lex Wine for a free wine tasting. During the wine tastings the staff of 111 Lex Wine spends time with the customer describing wine regions, flavor profiles, and wine making techniques.
The tastings often help a customer appreciate the wine they are drinking an will help them develop their own palate which will strengthen over time. 111 Lex Wine also occasionally samples port, tequila, and bourbon during the wine tastings.
One of the primary goals at 111 Lex is to educate members of their neighborhood on how to buy and appreciate wine. The staff at 111 Lex is dedicated to increase wine appreciation by providing education, information, and wine training. Their mission is to spread wine knowledge and enthusiasm and to dispel any snobbery.
