VAINSTYLE & Co Partners With Fashion With Compassion's Second annual Mommy Makeover Fashion Show

Fashion with Compassion acknowledges 3 hardworking New York moms, and gives them much needed R&R.

2011-06-30
NEW YORK, NY, June 30, 2011 (Press-News.org) VAINSTYLE & Co has partnered with Wardrobe Fiends to present their second annual "Mommy Makeover," at Haven Lounge NYC on July 1, 2011, in association with, Fashion With Compassion.

Acknowledging the personal sacrifice that often comes with parenthood, co-founders of Wardrobe Fiends and fashion stylists Kalitza Pagan and Yasmine Caceres created Fashion With Compassion, a charity designed to honor parents who have forfeited their own wardrobe needs for the sake of maintaining their family. Recognizing that motherhood can have a huge impact on image and self esteem, the team created the Mommy Makeover, as a retributive, commemorative token of appreciation for dedicated moms. "I had to make many sacrifices in regards to my appearance and shopping habits, which prompted me to think of all the other moms in New York City that have done the same," says Pagan, who is the mother of two daughters. "As a mom, you forget to take care of yourself so we want to give deserving moms a little R&R." she says.

For the second annual Mommy Makeover event, four New York City mothers will receive a glamorous makeover that will include full hair and make-up provided by Empire Beauty School, and beautiful dresses provided by PromGirl. In addition to product from a host of sponsors including Tamara Pogosian and Tweakers, the newly made over moms will also receive their very own photo shoot by JVD Photography, and reveal their new looks in a fashion show for family, friends, invited press, and media affiliates on July 1, 2011 at 5 p.m. the Haven Lounge NYC, 244 East 51st St New York, NY 10022

About Wardrobe Fiends:

Wardrobe Fiends was birthed out of a mutual love of fashion between Kalitza Pagan and Yasmin Caceres, wardrobe stylists and current students of The Fashion Institute of Technology, who met while styling runway shows at New York Fashion Week. Less than a year following their initial encounter, the ladies were reunited and after collaborating on numerous projects with fabulous results, Pagan knew that they would make excellent business partners. The two formed Wardrobe Fiends, a styling and image consulting firm that prides itself on its "addiction" to fashion and later started Fashion With Compassion.
